Frida On The Block

The 600 Block has managed to retain its individual character thanks to its independence. Where else could such a diversity of creative murals be found? Or a Woomorial happen?

It happened again today. A new mural was painted, start-to-finish by Jennifer Kosharek. A portrait of the great Mexican painter Frida Kahlo on the wall behind Dazzio.  Here, courtesy of the artist, are photographs showing the process.

Bare Naked Wall

Jennifer Kosharek, "Frida".

Congratulations to Jennifer Kosharek for making an artistic statement, slicing through the Gordian Knot of Wall Control in Saint Petersburg and bringing the city a beautiful and metaphorically strong mural. See it in the alley behind the 600 block galleries and shops now. An Art Taco tip of the hat to Gary and Tom for making this possible.

Thanks for the photographs!

Ps. I am including this on behalf of Jennifer. Please show her all the love you can. Thank you.
